Bread Recalled In Atlantic Canada

Canada Bread has initiated a voluntary recall of several types of Ben’s "Xtra Soft" and "Superclub" wholewheat and white breads as they may contain glass.

The company says the recall is a precautionary measure. Apparently it's related to a broken light bulb during the production of the bread.

Canada Bread says there have been no reports of illness or injury related to the consumption of the bread, which was sold in Atlantic Canada through various retailers.

The affected products are Ben’s Bread with Best Before date of Aug. 29 produced at a facility in Moncton, N.B. The plant number 2503 will be on the tag along with the Best Before date.
