CFIA-Allergy Alert: Undeclared Milk Protein And/Or Sulphites In Certain Grandpa Jimmy’s Scottish Bakery Brand Products

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Grandpa Jimmy's Scottish Bakery are warning people with allergies to milk or sulphites not to consume the products described below. The affected products contain allergens, which are not declared on the label.

All of the following Grandpa Jimmy's Scottish Bakery brand products, where milk and/or sulphites are not declared on the label, are affected by this alert:

These products have been distributed in Ontario.

There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of these products.

Consumption of these products may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in persons with allergies to milk or sulphites.

The manufacturer, Grandpa Jimmy's Scottish Bakery, Grand Bend, ON is voluntarily recalling the affected products from the marketplace. The CFIA is monitoring the effectiveness of the recall.
