Chris Wallace To Keynote ATBI Breakfast: 'Profiles In Washington Leadership'

WASHINGTON, D.C. Anchor of Fox News Sunday and contributor to Fox News Channel’s America’s Election HQ coverage, Chris Wallace will deliver the keynote speech at the 2014 ATBI Leadership Breakfast on March 17 during the American Bakers Association Convention in Scottsdale, Ariz. Wallace, a leading authority on presidential history, will present “Profiles in Washington Leadership,” beginning with illustrations of some of the most impactful presidents in U.S. history – from George Washington and Franklin Roosevelt to Harry Truman and George Bush.

“With decades of experience interviewing our country’s leaders and his extensive knowledge of presidential history, Chris Wallace will give ABA Convention attendees a unique glimpse into Washington leadership,” said ABA President and CEO Robb MacKie. “Chris’ presentation will be compelling and educational as it helps us to better understand our current and future leaders.”

Drawing on this historical background, Wallace will discuss the future of the U.S. presidency and his insights on how a divided Congress will impact legislation in 2014 and beyond. He will also provide ABA Convention attendees with an early forecast of the 2014 midterm election, including a look at the Republican and Democratic leaders who will shape the 2016 Presidential contest.

Wallace recently won the Paul White Award for lifetime achievement from the Radio Television Digital News Association. Over his career, he has won every major broadcast news award for his reporting, including three Emmy Awards, the Dupont-Columbia Silver Baton and the Peabody Award. Before joining Fox News, Wallace worked at ABC News for 14 years where he served as the Chief Correspondent for Primetime Thursday and as a substitute host for Nightline. Prior to joining ABC News, he was with NBC News where he served as the chief White House correspondent from 1982-1989. While at NBC, Wallace covered the 1980, 1984 and 1988 presidential campaigns as well as the Democratic and Republican conventions in those years. He anchored Meet the Press from 1987-1988, making him the only person to have hosted two Sunday talk shows.
