CSM announces today that it will close down its manufacturing facility in La Mirada, California, in the US. This closure is part of CSM's efforts to deliver on synergies, following the integration of Best Brands within the newly formed company CSM Bakery Products. CSM has reviewed the manufacturing base of the combined companies in order to improve utilization, to reduce complexity in the supply chain and to maintain an adequate geographic footprint. Over the coming months, the production of the La Mirada facility will be migrated to another facility in California (Pico Rivera) that is well equipped to take on this new production. The closure will involve 90 redundancies.
