Dancing Deer boldly crosses over the boundaries of traditional shortbreads with its launch of “Sweet & Savory Shortbread Cookies.” Some consumers like their treats sweet, while others prefer more savory flavors. Dancing Deer has addressed both flavor preferences with a refreshing collection of all-natural and kosher shortbreads that possess very appealing flavor accents in each and every bite. After all, why should crackers be the only snack to blend herbs and fruits? The “sweet & savory” trend has been gaining momentum over the past year as consumers search for new ways to tantalize their taste buds. These new products will be sold in 6 oz. boxes, and carry six to nine months shelf life.
The six “Sweet & Savory” flavor varieties are:
Rosemary Sea Salt
A gentle blend of refreshing rosemary and pink sea salt infuse this all butter shortbread. Savory enough to accompany cheese, but slightly sweet for a satisfying snack/treat/dessert.
Sun-Dried Tomato and Pine Nuts
An intense combination of sun-dried tomato and buttery pine nuts flavor this all butter shortbread. Topped with a sprinkle of pink sea salt, this savory treat will be the hit of the party. Serve either before or after dinner…or both!
Kalamata Olive with Fig
Robust Kalamata olives creamed with AA butter and blended with Turkish figs make for a surprisingly delicious combination. This indulgent sweet savory shortbread paired with a favorite wine will truly satisfy.
Pure Vanilla Bean
Pure ground Indian vanilla beans are infused into sweet AA creamery butter and pure cane sugar. An intense vanilla experience will have consumers coming back for more.
Espresso Bean with Chocolate Chips
Fresh ground espresso beans and pure dark chocolate chips are baked into this rich and delicious shortbread. Serve with coffee or by itself, this all butter cookie is all the buzz.
Tangerine Cream Swirl
Tangerine essence and intense vanilla are swirled and baked together to make this a match in heaven. Sprinkled in pure cane sugar, this sweet pleasure is sure to make everybody smile when it hits their tongue.
In addition to the Sweet & Savory launch, this summer, Dancing Deer will begin shipping the industry’s first offering of all-natural non-GMO bakery cookies with its launch of five Thin & Crispy Non-GMO Cookies. Consumers are more conscious than ever of the quality and origin of the foods they eat, and sweet treats are no exception. An interest in non-GMO products is beginning to gain real momentum, particularly among conscious consumers who are actively seeking out non-GMO labels in the foods they purchase. Aside from this “better for you” attribute, these great tasting crisp and light cookies melt in your mouth, and are as flavorful as any cookies currently on the market. The new Chocolate Chip and Oatmeal Raisin Cookies and Chocolate Chunk Brownies are truly delicious. No one will believe that they are gluten free!
