Magnolia Bakery Opens New Doors in 2010

NEW YORK — Magnolia Bakery, well-known for their classic, freshly baked
desserts, is proud to announce its 2010 expansion plans to open three new
locations both nationally and internationally. The line-up of locations include
the recent overseas opening in Dubai, today’s opening in Grand Central Terminal
in the heart of Manhattan as well as a spring opening in Los Angeles, CA.

Through an exclusive territorial license agreement, Magnolia Bakery was excited
to recently open its first bakery overseas within The Dubai Mall on February 1,
2010. The 885 square-foot bakery, located within Bloomingdale’s home store, is
managed and operated by Al Tayer Insignia, the luxury retail company of Al Tayer
Group. Items on the new location’s menu include, amongst other things, a vast
array of cupcake flavors along with their signature buttercream-frosted
cupcakes, red velvet cake, banana pudding and a variety of brownies, bars and
cookies.

Opening today in Grand Central Terminal’s lower level dining concourse, the
Grand Central Magnolia Bakery location will offer the full range of goods baked
fresh on-premises and an extensive beverage service, including freshly ground
Magnolia Blend coffees. In addition to freshly-baked breakfast items such as
raspberry crumb muffins, as an added commuter-convenience patrons will be able
to place orders in advance for easy pick up along their travels.

The highly-anticipated Los Angeles, CA location is scheduled for opening in May
2010 at the corner of West 3rd Street and Orlando Avenue in West Hollywood. Now,
west coasters will have the opportunity to experience the same quintessential
homemade American classics that New Yorkers have been enjoying for years in an
atmosphere inspired by the nostalgic ambiance and vintage decor of the original
Bleecker Street location in New York City’s West Village.

Steve Abrams explains the decision to open the new bakeries as twofold, stating,
“We wanted to establish Magnolia as a trusted neighborhood bakery in each of
these new areas, and so far we’ve received wonderful feedback from our new
neighborhood residents and visitors. Part of Magnolia’s success is our desire to
ensure each location remains authentic to the original concept and true to the
overall brand, which I think our customers recognize and greatly appreciate.”
