Miller Baking Co. is in the initial stages of a planned expansion of its operations at its location near downtown Milwaukee, according to a city document.
The city Plan Commission is recommending the Common Council approve combining two land parcels at 1415 N. Fifth St. into one lot so that the bakery, which makes the popular Pretzilla soft pretzel buns, can “expand its operations into an adjacent building,” according to a June 24 letter from the city.
Miller Baking owner Brian Miller declined to comment.
City spokesman Jeff Fleming said he’s not aware of any request for city financing for the proposed project. No details on the scope of the project were available.
