Pamela's Products Acquires Two New Employees, Leverages Expertise After Expansion

UKIAH, Calif. — On the heels of its $1 million bakery expansion earlier this year, California-based Pamela’s Products continues to grow its expertise with two new hires, Business Manager Donna Williams, and Sales and Marketing Coordinator Hannah Hershey. General Manager Alana Rouse also assumes a larger role at the 76,000-square-foot facility, leading a 64-person team to build upon new manufacturing and operations capabilities as a result of the expansion. The company now boasts 78 total employees.

Investing an additional $1 million plus in equipment, Pamela’s facility now allows for two longer work lines for a total oven capacity of 200 feet combined, which Rouse leveraged to maximize production efficiency by reorganizing work schedules. She eliminated night shifts to focus on uniting her team during the day when employees have more energy and focus.

Rouse started her manufacturing career at Cheesecake Lady, a wholesale bakery that sold in 2000 to Cheesecake Momma and later sold to Pamela’s Products, where the company benefitted from Rouse’s 22-year experience in food manufacturing. Rouse took over the General Manager position in March of 2011 when Pamela’s Products united its two manufacturing companies under one roof.

Two New Hires

With 25 years of experience working in the natural products industry, Donna Williams recently joined Pamela’s in November 2012 as Business Manager, leading sales growth in the western U.S. and focusing on distribution of the company’s new product launches. Most recently she was part of Advantage Sales and Marketing where she managed the national Natural Chain accounts, adding to her background working with many leading brand and retailers in the natural channel.

Prior to joining Pamela’s as Sales and Marketing Coordinator, Hannah Hershey earned her degree at UCLA and gained experience working for a high-profile entertainment lawyer in Beverly Hills. She’ll be assisting Director of Marketing Jennifer Ramstad, and contributing to the company’s events, marketing programs, public relations, social media and branding strategies for both trade and consumer audiences. She will also support the sales team under the leadership of Vice President of Sales and Marketing Linda Gerwig.
