Schnucks plans to offer more gluten-free products from Beck’s Gluten Free of Ellisville, Mo., at 13 of its St. Louis-area grocery stores.
Larry Maggio, director of marketing services for Schnuck Markets Inc., said the supermarket chain has seen an increase in demand for gluten-free foods in the past year.
Beck’s, owned by Joy Kahlmeyer, was started in 2009 and is located at 15622 Manchester Road. The company makes gluten-free breakfast items, appetizers, soups, salads, entrees, side dishes, sauces, pizzas, breads, pastries and cakes.
Customers can order gluten-free baked and prepared goods by calling 636-527-5000 or visiting the companies’ websites.
