Changes At Fair Flowers Fair Plants

The Fair Flowers Fair Plants certification system has seen some developments as of late: a number of growers and traders have left, while two new chains have also joined the accreditation program. Moreover, cooperation with other, similar, certifications has been undertaken and will soon result in an increase in participating producers and therefore products.

Carp Acres: A Canadian Pesticide Free Flower Production Facility

The former Carleton Growers greenhouse business in Carp, Ontario is being transformed into Carp Acres, Canada's first pesticide free flower production facility, thanks to efforts of the Carp Ridge Learning Centre. The nursery business is currently producing a wide variety of cut flowers for sale commercially in the Ottawa area at both the Parkdale and Landsdowne markets.
