Michael Allen Prevor of Boca Raton, FL, died of pancreatic cancer on Sunday, January 15, 2012. He was at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was undergoing an innovative immunotherapy clinical trial designed to advance the science so that pancreatic cancer may one day be cured. His wife, Roslyn Prevor, and his children were by his side.

California Giant/Specialized Cycling Team Sending 3 To Cyclo-Cross World Championships

USA Cycling just announced the roster of elite, U23 and junior athletes that will represent the United States at the 2012 UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships in Koksijde, Belgium on Jan. 28-29, 2012. There are a total of 18 riders representing the United States on the roster and joining the U.S. team from California Giant/Specialized are Meredith Miller, Cody Kaiser and Tobin Ortenblad. Currently the U.S. is ranked fifth out of 25 countries that will be competing in the world championships.

Richard Nieuwenhuis, president of New Jersey Farm Bureau, and owner-operator of Scenic Valley Greenhouses in White Township, Warren County, was elected to a third term on the American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) Board of Directors. He serves as a representative of the Northeast Region, which includes New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and nine other states. The American Farm Bureau, with 6.2 million members, has four representative regions: northeast, south, mid-west and west. It is headquartered in Washington DC.
