Teamsters Union Reaches Tentative Deal With Hunts Point Market

Teamsters at the Hunts Point Market in the Bronx reached a tentative three-year agreement on Wednesday, one day after their previous labor contract expired.

The Hunts Point Produce Trade Association and Teamsters Local 202, which represents about 1,300 members, have agreed on a contract that provides increased wages and health care benefits.

The roughly 1,300 members of Teamsters Local 202 will vote on the contract between midnight Thursday and 10 a.m. Friday.

The previous agreement expired Tuesday, but workers stayed on the job.
