Dairy Farmers Of America Executive Appointed To WCMA Board

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Mark Peterson, vice president of operations for Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. (DFA), has been appointed an at-large board member for the Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association (WCMA).

Peterson directs and leads several of the cheese and ingredients plants within DFA’s commercial division, Global Dairy Products Group, which includes the Cooperative’s Consumer Brands, Ingredients and Contract Manufacturing businesses.

Previously, Peterson was director of operations for the manufactured products division of a regional dairy cooperative. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.

WCMA, now in its 119th year, gives a voice to Wisconsin dairy processors on national and state issues that impact their businesses. DFA’s presence in Wisconsin includes more than 1,000 dairy farmer members and a plant in Plymouth, Wis., where processed cheese, cut and wrap natural cheese, and shreds are manufactured.
