Good Showing At LA Dairy Competition 2018 For Joseph Farms

ATWATER, CA:  Joseph Gallo Farms, maker of Joseph Farms Cheese, a family owned dairy, cheese-making and whey business in the small community of Atwater, located in California’s San Joaquin Valley, has been honored once again as one of California’s finest cheese makers at the 2018 Los Angeles International Dairy Competition.

Joseph Farms was the recipient of 10 medals at the competition which was held on March 3rd, 2018 and showcased 375 entries from all over the United States as well as entries from Britain, France, Spain, and the Netherlands.

All of the cheese varieties submitted by Joseph Farms received medals in their respective categories. Of the ten medals awarded to Joseph Farms, Gold Medal winners featured Medium Cheddar, Mild Cheddar, Sharp Cheddar, Marbled Jack, Pepper Jack, and Reduced Fat Monterey Jack. Silver Medal winners include Monterey Jack, Part Skim Mozzarella, and Premium Extra Sharp Cheddar, while our Provolone received Bronze.

As part of the LA County Fair’s annual dairy education program, winners will be on display at the Fair, Aug. 31-Sept. 23, offering insight into California’s dairy and agriculture history to the Fair’s 1.3 million guests.
