Triple Crème Brie With Truffles Earns Top Honor At World Championship Cheese Contest

Petaluma, CA – It was with great honor that Marin French Cheese’s Triple Crème Brie with Black Truffles took the coveted Best of Class Award for flavored soft-ripened cheese at 32nd edition of the biennial World Championship Cheese Contest in Madison, Wisconsin, March 6-8, 2018.

Made with fresh cow’s milk and cream from neighboring dairies within 15 miles of the creamery, the brand’s Triple Crème Brie with Truffles is a 1-pound wheel specked with French black truffles, offering an irresistibly earthy aroma of mushrooms balanced with sweet cream. The handcrafted, naturally ripened cheese develops its flavor and smooth creamy texture as it ages, making it perfect for a sophisticated cheeseboard or as an indulgent topping for a burger.

“Once again, we are impressed by the increasing level of competition at this highly regarded event,” says Marin French Cheese CEO, Eric Barthome. “Our ingredients, rooted in authenticity and simplicity, are important components to creating award-winning products,” Barthome adds. “But it is the skill and know-how of our cheesemaking team at Marin French Cheese that make us a strong contender in this contest.”

The World Championship Cheese Contest, established in 1957, is organized by the Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association. This year, the organization saw a record 3,402 entries from 26 countries and 32 states. For a full list of awards go to https://wccc.myentries.org/contest/results/?event=61
