CHARM — Guggisberg Cheese is planning a 37,000-square-foot expansion at its Sugarcreek plant.
Construction is expected to start in about a month at the facility on County Road 70 in Holmes County.
Ryan Ramsey, marketing director for Guggisberg, said the addition will include a large prepack cooler, product finishing and packing room, dry storage space, case and pallet storage and a new employee break room.
Ramsey said the plant employs 48. He stressed no workers will be added at this time.
“In the future, the company may offer new job opportunities,” Ramsey added.
