As the first CEO of Verona-based Lamagna Cheese Co. in its 74-year history, John Sottile could see the challenge to come in getting the word out about the company.
It came when he inquired about putting a sign with the company’s name on its Verona facility, only to be told the father of the men who ran the company kept the name off to avoid solicitations.
“We want to get the name out there, even if it means putting signs on the building,” said Sottile, laughing at the memory.
