WALKER – Meijer Inc.'s decision to enter the dairy business has left some uncertainty at Dean Foods' dairy operation in Evart in Osceola County.
The Midwest retailer's announcement late Thursday of its acquisition of the Bareman's Dairy facility in Holland Township was news to the dairy that has supplied Meijer-brand milk for more than half century.
Meijer plans to launch Purple Cow Creamery to supply its brand of white and chocolate milk to its 101 Michigan stores.
