Berryville's economy appears to be sunny side up.
According to a press release from the city, Mid-States Specialty Eggs, Inc. (MSSE) is planning to build its first Arkansas egg processing and distribution plant in Berryville beginning this month.
MSSE processes and distributes around 100,000 dozen specialty eggs per day. Specialty eggs are eggs from chickens that are grown outside cages and fed with organic, not genetically modified, feed. A majority of the specialty eggs are shipped to California.
