Nearly 70% Of Women Are In An Unsatisfying Relationship, With Their Snacks

MINNEAPOLIS — Women across America have admitted that they are in an unsatisfying relationship…with their snacks. In a recent Yoplait® Greek survey, nearly all female participants admitted to needing a snack to get through the day. Yet, more than half of women claimed their typical snack foods lack flavor and three-quarters said their snacks leave them feeling unfulfilled. It’s time for a better snack and the new and improved Yoplait Greek is answering the call, with two times the protein of regular yogurt* and a delicious, thick and creamy texture to help satisfy hunger.

Available in six mouth-watering, fat-free flavors including Honey Vanilla, Plain, Key Lime, and now three fruit on the bottom flavors, Strawberry, Blueberry and Peach, Yoplait Greek is a protein-packed snack women on-the-go can enjoy. This should be joyous news for the nearly 60 percent of women who willingly sacrifice health for convenience when looking for something to nibble on.

Maria Menounos, Access Hollywood Correspondent and author, is joining Yoplait Greek to help spread the word. “When I have a busy day, feeling hungry and unsatisfied can really weigh me down,” explains Menounos. “And we’ve all fallen into the endless snacking trap – grabbing snack after snack lacking in key nutrients, like protein, to fuel and charge the body. With at least 14 grams of protein in each cup, and an excellent source of calcium and vitamin D, the new and improved Yoplait Greek helps satisfy my hunger and is a snack I can feel good about eating.”

Registered Dietitian Christina Meyer-Jax agrees and has teamed up with Yoplait Greek to talk about the benefits of protein. “More than half of women surveyed said protein is an ingredient they look for in their ideal snack – it’s also an important component of a healthy diet, serving as a building block for strong muscles, and alongside calcium and vitamin D, to maintain healthy bones. Come snack time, I recommend reaching for fat-free, protein-rich snacks, like Yoplait Greek.”
