You scream, I scream… and local grocers are screaming for Nice Cream.
Nice Cream Co. is a Chicago ice cream startup that handcrafts its flavors from local, organic ingredients and sells its pints through independent, neighborhood grocers and a few farmers markets. According to Nice Cream’s website, “That’s local–times three!”
The tiny company has seen a lot of enthusiasm for its tantalizing flavors that have continued to tempt ice cream lovers to spend a little more for taste–$8.99 a pint–even during a recession. So much so that this summer the company is expected to see the ‘cream finally cover all its costs.
