Preston, ID Family Recognized By United Dairymen of Idaho For Milk Quality

A Preston family has been recognized by United Dairymen of Idaho for the quality of milk produced on their dairy farm.

Rob and Holly Jo Hull were one of 15 finalists in Idaho to receive the 2010 Milk Quality Award, meaning they had the lowest average of bacteria and white blood cell counts in their milk in the last 12 months.

The Hulls attribute their success to the good care they give to their Holstein cows. They also credit everyone who works hard on the farm.

"We have good routines," Rob said.

Rob and Holly Jo are fourth generation dairy farmers, working with Rob's parents, Bob and Susanne Hull, on their Whitney farm. They milk 90 head of cows on their 200-acre farm, where they also grow alfalfa and barley, Rob said.
