Tulare's Top'O The Morn Farms Files To Open Milk Bottling Plant

Tulare dairy farmer Ron Locke, who owns Top'O The Morn Farms, has filed for permits to remodel a farm building into a USDA milk bottling facility.

"We plan to use clear glass bottles and deliver fresh milk to your door and at famers markets," says Locke, who says the new business will take only a small portion of their daily milk supply that is marketed through DFA.

"It's amazing that in a county that is the largest milk producer in the world, you can't get Tulare County bottled milk. We will promise fresh milk from cow to cup in 48 hours."

Locke says glass milk bottles are more sustainable since they are 100 percent recyclable as well as cleaned and reused an average of 18 times.
