Undeclared Milk Protein In Dai Pai Dong Brand No Sugar Added Instant Soya Milk

OTTAWA – The public warning issued on January 5, 2011 has been expanded to include additional product codes.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Mocaroma (Canada) Ltd. are warning people with allergies to milk not to consume Dai Pai Dong brand No Sugar Added Instant Soya Milk described below. The affected product contains milk which is not declared on the label.

The affected product, Dai Pai Dong brand No Sugar Added Instant Soya Milk, is sold in a 160 g box containing 8 sachets of 20 g each, bearing UPC 4 891444 304917. All Best Before dates are affected by this alert.

This product has been distributed in Ontario.

There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of this product.

Consumption of this product may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in persons with allergies to milk.

The importer, Mocaroma (Canada) Ltd., Scarborough, Ontario is voluntarily recalling the affected product from the marketplace. The CFIA is monitoring the effectiveness of the recall.
