Mamie's Famous Cheese Wafers, produced and sold by Mobile's Spring Hill Kitchens, is featured in the new edition of Epicurious: America's Best Recipes.
The cheese wafers are listed in the magazine's "Southern Comforts" section, which notes: "For cheddary, cayenne-tinged bites, simply slice and bake this Alabama cheese wafer dough."
Other "Southern Comforts" listed by the magazine include pickled eggs from the Smoky Mountains, ginger ale from Kentucky, stone ground grains from North Carolina and savory and sweet cookies from Savannah.
