Arena Cheese Takes 2nd Colby Medal At U.S. Cheese Championships

Arena Cheese’s head cheese maker and part owner, Bill Hanson, announced today that the company received a medal in the prestigious United States Cheese Championships held last month in Madison, Wisconsin. This is Arena Cheese’s 2nd medal for authentically crafted Colby cheese in the past year, having won a medal for Colby cheese at the American Cheese Society cheese contest.

Arena Cheese is located in the heart of Wisconsin cheese country near the Wisconsin River in Central Wisconsin. Arena Cheese has received eight prestigious national medals this past decade for Colby and Colby/Jack cheese (where the first Colby/Jack cheese was produced in 1979).

This year Arena Cheese also introduced, under the Spring Green brand, the first deli horn all natural, hardwood smoked Gouda. The 4 inch diameter, 4 ¼ lb. random weight horn is perfect for any slicing deli.
