Bag Some Imported Olives

Olives now come in bags. Gloria’s Harvest olives are packaged in 6- to 7-ounce sacks ($2.99), which are sold in the produce section. “The packaging is novel here, but common in Europe,’’ says Gloria Gavris, who came up with the idea to import bagged olives. She was in Greece with her husband, Lee, owner of Wellesley-based food marketing company Food Mark. With six varieties available, including pitted, whole, and stuffed, these little gems are perfect for tossing into a picnic basket, packing for lunch, or sprinkling on salads.
