EDMONTON – Canyon Creek Food Company Ltd., ("Canyon Creek") listed on the TSX Venture Exchange Inc. under the trading symbol "CYF" is pleased to announce that it has launched a new refrigerated soups with a major eastern Canada based retailer. These new products consists of two soups, all branded under the Canyon Creek name.
Under the arrangement, Canyon Creek will supply fresh refrigerated clam chowder and salmon chowder to this eastern based retailer with over 400 stores. Terry Alty, the President and CEO of Canyon Creek notes that: "as the fresh refrigerated soup category continues to grow, we expect to continue to expand our retail presence in eastern Canada."
The relationship with this new customer is an important in that it serves to further strengthen Canyon Creek's retail penetration strategy. In eastern Canada it is expected to facilitate broader market awareness of the Company and its' products; and it establishes a new avenue through which to build brand value.
