Grafton’s Vermont Clothbound Cheddar is a classic milled curd cow’s milk cheddar wrapped in cheesecloth while it ages slowly in Grafton’s own aging caves for a minimum of six months. Grafton’s Vermont Clothbound delivers a very bold cheese with both nut and mushroom notes. In addition to being recognized by Yankee Magazine, the cheese was awarded a second place at the American Cheese Society and the Big E New England Cheese Competition; and, a bronze at the US Championship Cheese Contest this year.
This year’s awards season has been exceptional for Grafton Village Cheese as a whole, having received a total of 23 awards for various cheeses at the American Cheese Society, International Cheese Awards, US Championship Cheese Contest and the Big E New England Cheese Competition in 2013.
