If sandwiches could be like country stars, the grilled cheese might be Willie. Last name – "sandwich" – not even necessary.
After all this time, though, the grilled cheese is back in the news. It has taken on the cupcake as the latest comfort food to turn trendy. Celebrated simply or totally tricked-out, they've been dealt like contraband by underground delivery men in New York and tattooed onto arms in Cleveland.
