Meijer Supermarket Celebrates Super Bowl With Wisconsin Cheese Carving

Meijer Supermarket, Wisconsin Cheese and expert cheese carver Sarah “The Cheese Lady” Kaufmann celebrated the recent Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis with 300 pounds of Cheddar sculpted to commemorate the football festivities.

The carving honored the competing teams – the New England Patriots and New York Giants – as well as the host city of Indianapolis. During the week leading up to the big game, Meijer shoppers were able to watch the transformation take place, sample cheese and pose for photos with the carvings.

Attached is a photo of Meijer Deli Manager Lynette Smith and Sarah Kaufmann with the finished carving.
