Woodland, CA – Nugget Markets announces “Cheese the Day” special cheese tasting events April 27 – 29, 9am – 7pm, at participating Nugget Markets. Nugget Markets stocks more than 400 varieties of cheeses in each store’s specialty cheese department, and the Cheese the Day festivities celebrate cheeses from not only around the world, but from local producers as well.
Guests will enjoy both classic favorites as well as new cheese offerings presented in person by the cheese makers, who will be available to answer questions and provide information on their product and their company. In addition to receiving 25% off all cheeses sampled, guests are also invited to help select the next new Nugget Markets cheese item by voting for their favorite at each store location.
“This is the first time we’ve celebrated the world of cheese with these exciting ‘Cheese the Day’ tasting events,” says Kaelynn Medbery, specialty cheese buyer for Nugget Markets. “We’re delighted to host these amazing cheese makers and share not only wonderful samplings with our guests, but also to give our guests a 25% discount on sampled cheeses and the opportunity to help choose the next new cheese to appear in our stores.”
The “Cheese the Day” cheese tasting events include samples from makers such as Beehive Cheese Co., Beemster, Kerrygold, Point Reyes, Redwood Hill Farms, Cypress Grove, Fiscalini and many more. “Cheese the Day” cheese tasting schedule is as follows 9am – 7pm: Nugget Markets in West Sacramento, Elk Grove, and on Florin Road in Sacramento on Friday, April 27th; Nugget Markets in Woodland, Vacaville and Davis stores on Covell and Mace Blvd on Saturday, April 28th; and El Dorado Hills and Roseville locations on Sunday, April 29th.
