"Old Croc" New Australian Aged Cheddar Feeds Demand For Bolder Flavors In U.S.

With its playful warning, “Careful. It Bites!”, Trugman-Nash, an affiliate of MCT Dairies, announced today the launch of an exciting new line of Vintage Australian Cheddars under the brand name, “Old Croc.” Distribution of the tasty product line is set to begin early this summer to specialty cheese shops, club stores and supermarkets nationwide.

Available in two varieties—Old Croc Sharp and Old Croc Extra Sharp—these classic white Australian cheddars are all natural and crafted from 100% pure Australian milk from pasture-fed cows with no added hormones. Old Croc Sharp and Old Croc Extra Sharp are then carefully aged a minimum of nine and eighteen months respectively, and promise a “delightfully bold bite” to cheese lovers in the U.S.

“With the growing demand for bolder, more flavorful cheeses, were very excited to introduce this new brand of specialty Australian cheddar to the U.S. market,” says Ken Meyers, CEO of MCT Dairies and Trugman-Nash. He added, “Todays specialty cheese consumer is becoming more and more educated about the products they buy. While taste will always be paramount in their purchase decision, the demand for healthy, all natural products is also becoming increasingly important. We are extremely confident that Old Croc will delight even the most discriminating cheese buyer in both taste and natural, healthy ingredients.”

Old Crocs smooth yet sharp “bite” and creamy, sliceable texture make it the perfect table cheese, and is particularly delicious when served with fresh fruit, nuts and a good, hearty ale or cabernet.
