Salemville Amish Blue-Veined Cheeses Announces "Blue Meets Black"

RICHFIELD, Wis. — DCI Cheese Company ("DCI") is excited to unveil "Blue Meets Black", an enter-to-win contest designed to promote a distinctive summertime flavor combination: grilled Black Angus beef topped with the slightly piquant, savory taste of blue cheese. "Blue Meets Black" is sponsored by Salemville, DCI's line of award-winning Amish blue-veined cheeses. One Grand Prize winner will receive a Weber SPIRIT grill.

In-store shelf talkers with tear pads featuring contest details and a complimentary recipe can be found in participating retailers throughout the June 1–July 31 contest. Additionally, consumers with smart phones can connect directly to www.salemville.com for recipes, wine pairings and a coupon via the promotional display's QR code. This website also features an online entry form, contest rules and a section filled with helpful grilling tips.

Salemville's blue-veined cheeses are sustainably produced by an Amish community in Cambria, Wisconsin. Cows are hand-milked twice daily without the use of machines or electricity and milk is delivered to the factory in traditional 10-gallon milk cans. All Salemville cheeses are farmer-certified rBGH free, rich in calcium and contain no preservatives or chemical additives. The line includes a range of award-winning earthy flavors, each with rich, creamy textures and beautiful, consistent veining.

"Blue cheese and grilled Black Angus beef are a quintessential flavor combination for summer," says Katie Jury, Marketing Manager at DCI. "We're excited to offer consumers the chance to win a Weber SPIRIT grill so they can bring these flavors to life in their own backyard."

Details about the Salemville "Blue Meets Black" promotion, including full contest rules, are available on the contest website (www.salemville.com) throughout the promotion.
