Vermont Cheese Wins

The latest prize goes to the Vermont Butter and Cheese Creamery in Barre Town.

Last week the company beat out hundreds of other entries at the Fancy Food Show in New York City. The goat cheese called "Bijou" was a big hit with the judges—awarded the top prize in the food service category.

Joseph Conner of Vt. Butter and Cheese Creamery said, "It is a small french style we ripened it with a soft ripened rind. We age it here in our cave in our inside cave. It is just one of these beautiful French cheeses, French-style cheeses I should say."
