Vermont Makes It Special At The Summer Fancy Food Show

Vermont Specialty Foods Association and vermont agency of agriculture host chef-inspired sampling events featuring vermont products at america’s largest specialty food show.

25 Vermont specialty food producers that attended this year's Summer Fancy Food Show share one passion: to create food that's healthy, wholesome and natural – consistent with the quality of life Vermont is globally known for.

To evidence their support of family farms, sustainable agriculture and ‘farm to fork’ lifestyles, Vermont food companies sampled an array of products, from artisan cheese to Vermont pure maple syrup, in a series of cooking events featuring recipes created by award-winning Vermont Chef Sean Buchanan.

On June 30-July 2, the Vermont Pavilion booth #4958 at the Jacob Javits Center in New York was transformed into a test kitchen of Vermont cuisine; three scheduled cooking events were held daily at 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. and they communicate uniquely creative and health inspired usage of Vermont branded products as ingredients in varied recipes from appetizers to entrees to desserts.
