Announcing: The 12 Participants In The Wim Hazelaar Trophy

On November 8th and 9th, 12 participants will compete at the IFTF 2017 trade fair (www.iftf.nl) for the Wim Hazelaar trophy. This year, participants from a wide range of countries will take part in the competition. They come from Denmark, Norway, Croatia, Spain, Japan, Australia and the Netherlands!

The participants of 2017 are:

André Botterli Trätnes (Norway); Katharina Albrechtsen (Denmark); Elise Rosen (Australia); Yoko Misumi (Japan); Ani Poklepovic (Croatia); Eliezer Santana Martin (Spain); Nely de Bruin (Netherlands); Maarten van der Waal (NL); Daniëlle Adema (NL); Esther Wijngaarden (NL); Klaas Dijkstra (NL), and Roos van Unen (NL)

The competition will be between the teacher and assistant florist; the freelancer and the shop owner, etcetera. The 12 participants will have to perform 7 assignments, with products the competition organizers selected for them. Every assignment will have a minimum number of requirements to meet.

The Wim Hazelaar competition is held at World of Flowers, at IFTF 2017 in Vijfhuizen, and is open to all visitors of the exhibition. It is possible to have a close look at the participants working on their assignments, due to the open setup of the event. All the designs made by the participants will also be displayed throughout the World of Flowers!

On Thursday, November 9th, the jury will announce the winner of this year. Karin Pasman, winner of the Wim Hazelaar trophy 2016, will give the ‘Mobach trofee’ to the winner of 2017. The winner also receives €250,- provided by Smithers-Oasis, and Bloomtube offers him/her a demonstration on their Bloomtube channel.
