After 42 years Import Blumex Export B.V. from Aalsmeer is out of business. The financial crisis of recent years has led to this forced decision.
The curator of Blumex, Mr. A. van den End, and Dutch Flower Group have reached an agreement in the context of the transfer of a part of the clientele and staff. As a result of this jobs will be saved and customers will get their flowers and plants delivered.
Blumex is a company with a long history. It was one of the first companies on Bloemenveiling south. In recent years it belonged to the top 15 of flower and plant wholesalers with exports to some thirty countries.
The curator of Import Blumex Export B.V. will settle the bankruptcy.
Dutch Flower Group is a global group of companies. Together they have a leading position in the import, export, trade and market development of cut flowers and plants. Their 1,500 employees are responsible for a turnover of over € 800 million.
