Flower Trade Hasn’t Blossomed At Bush Airport

As florists approach the busy Valentine's Day holiday, one floral facility isn't feeling the love.

A refrigerated warehouse at George Bush Intercontinental Airport, which was supposed to woo flower imports that now favor the Miami airport, so far hasn't gotten a steady date.

Charter flights and trucks have used the facility, but no regularly scheduled air service has signed on.

For the most part, flowers that Houstonians give to the objects of their affection Monday will be shipped by air from Latin America to Miami, then by truck to Houston.
