Fort Wayne Flower Outlet Focuses On Do-It-Yourself Business

Are fresh-cut flowers a luxury you can't afford? Well, maybe now you can.

Jerry and Connie Seitz, owners of Four Seasons Flowers since 1986, have opened the Flower Outlet at 3927C Kraft Parkway, off Hillegas Road.

Think of it as a do-it-yourself floral shop. Customers can walk into the store's huge floral cooler and pick fresh flowers for everything from a simple bouquet to flowers for an entire wedding party.

The store buys direct, rather than from local wholesalers, Seitz said, so it can offer fresh, florist-quality flowers at lower prices.

Four Seasons Flowers, which was in the Time Corners area, moved to the Hillegas Road location in 2010. It's still a full-service florist, but the do-it-yourself floral arrangement concept is now a main area of focus. Jerry Seitz said do-it-yourself arranging can save up to 50 percent, which could be quite a savings when buying flowers for an entire wedding party.
