The international trade press has granted the Plantarium 2011 Press Prize to 'Garden Orchid.' It won the prize in the category garden-, balcony- and terrace plants.
After the judgement of the novelties on Tuesday afternoon, the winners were announced on Tuesday night during the press dinner at Plantarium. This prize from the international trade press in the category garden-, balcony- and terrace plants, was presented to Robert Kuijf, product manager with Phalaenopsis Netherlands.
This completely winter hardy garden orchid, which belongs to the Cypripedium, flowers after potting after 3 till 4 weeks and goes wild in the garden. A carrier bag has been developed, on which you can read information and with this bag the consumer can transport the plant cleanly.
