Incorporate ‘Meaningful Items’ In Flower Arrangements

Using a floral centrepiece on a table at a big event – or even just for decoration at a simple celebration at home – can "add an extra layer of loveliness" to proceedings.

This is according to an article in the Detroit News, which also suggested some other ways to make your flowers really stand out.

Bruce Weber, a florist from Livonia, told the publication that one good way to enhance an arrangement is to use an item or container that means something to the family or people involved.

"Containers that are important to the family are nice. They have more value or interest than a utility container," he stated.

One tip is to use an ornate soup tureen as the container for an arrangement, because these make an "attractive vessel" to hold the flowers.
