Interflora has today launched its Scented Rose range at the prestigious RHS Chelsea Flower Show. This fabulous collection, new for 2010, has already generated a huge amount of interest leading up to its introduction.
Featuring a selection of unusual, scented rose varieties designed and arranged with fragrant herbs and foliage, this new range of stunning gifts is also Fairtrade certified. The beautiful hand-tied bouquets will be available to order from, today, 24 May.
Karen Barnes, Head of Floral Gifting at Interflora, comments on the inspiration that led to the development of the range: “I was on a research visit to a Fairtrade Farm in Kenya in the Autumn of 2009 where I was presented with new varieties of roses that had been cultivated for their amazing scent. These were the most amazing blowsy blooms with intoxicating fragrances that reminded me of old-fashioned English country garden roses. I knew immediately that these were exactly what I was looking for, and that our customers would love them.”

Antique Pinks (£34.99) is made up of a vintage-style selection of sweetly perfumed Eden Romantic, Lolita Lempicka and Lookalike Fairtrade roses, hand-tied with Lavender. The heavenly scent of this gorgeous arrangement has all the richness of a timeless summer garden.
Golden Glow (£34.99) reflects a vibrant palette of buttercup yellows, smoky reds and peach. Mingled with some sweet rosemary, these Fairtrade Orange Tiger, Nicolus Hult and Straight Eudora roses offer up an enticing garden-fresh perfume.
Soft Pastel (£39.99) is rich with the heady scent of rosewater and lavender. The bouquet features Fairtrade Constance spray, Eudora and Vitality roses in hues of pink, lilac and cream, hand-tied with lavender.
Sweet Sunshine (£39.99) glows with warm shades of orange and peach featuring Fairtrade Candlelight, Toulouse and Sunny Eudora roses hand-tied with rosemary. This mix conjures up tantalising perfumes – hints of cut grass and even sugary, citrusy sweets.
Visitors to The RHS Chelsea Flower Show (25 – 29 May) will be amongst the first to see (and smell!) the new range.
