The 32nd edition of Plantarium has been given the theme of “Connect”. By means of this theme, the Tree Nursery Trade Show Association (Stichting Vakbeurs voor de Boomkwekerij) wishes to emphasise that not only are people captivated by plants, they also bring people closer together.
Plantarium is the leading international tree nursery trade fair. Participants from 15 different countries and trade visitors from 48 countries underline the international nature of the fair and make Plantarium the leading wholesale market for tree nursery products in Europe.
Inspiration
Following on from the previous edition, the Plantarium Garden Theatre will once again provide stylists with a platform in an inspiring environment. Here, the plants and hardware provided by various participants are creatively incorporated into attractive arrangements by the stylists.
The international trade visitors are treated to innovations in the sector, such as dozens of new plant introductions and the latest technological developments.
Plantarium means business
A lot of business is still being conducted at Plantarium. Last year, 36% of the participants took orders at the show, while 81% stated that they made new contacts. And almost everyone spoke highly of their clients (93%)! (Source: 2013 survey).
Plantarium as the start of the autumn
Autumn plant sales are in need of a considerable boost. Growers, suppliers and garden centres are joining forces to turn the autumn into an important sales period for plants once again. Plantarium regards this as its mission and inspires standholders and visitors to lend a positive boost to autumn sales.
As of today, registration for Plantarium 2014 is open. Alongside the 70% of regular participants, Plantarium also looks forward to welcoming a total of 300 companies from home and abroad.
The management have realised that growers/entrepreneurs are currently experiencing difficult times. For this reason, they have decided to keep the prices the same as last year and not to apply the usual index.
