AAMP Fills Two Key Staff Posts

Michael Sloan, President of the American Association of Meat Processors (AAMP), has announced the appointment of two key staffers to represent the membership of the national non-profit meat trade association.

Marty Manion will serve as the Executive Director for the 1,400-member trade group, which represents small and very small meat and food processing companies and their related suppliers. He succeeds Dr. Jay Wenther, who served in that capacity for the past decade and is now director of meat technology for Handtmann, Inc., a major industry equipment manufacturer.

Manion brings 20 years of experience in association management and has served as Executive Director for Association Independent Management and has been the Director of Information Technology and Board Services for the 27,000-member Pennsylvania Association of Realtors.
