Larsen "Classic Taste" Hot Dogs Are Back By Popular Demand

TORONTO – Maple Leaf Foods announced that the original-tasting Larsen wiener is being re-launched to consumers across Atlantic Canada. The Larsen “Classic Taste” Wieners support tremendous consumer demand for a return to the original taste.

“Atlantic Canadians told us that they prefer the original taste of Larsen Wieners over the new recipe that was launched last year and we listened,” said Andrew Pollock, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Innovation. “Larsen Wieners have an iconic history throughout Atlantic Canada and we are proud to provide Atlantic Canadians with the same Larsen classic taste they know and love.  The positive feedback we have received via facebook and through our retail partners has been off the charts.”

Loyal consumers rushed to social media when the original recipe was changed in 2010, expressing their support and passion for the classic taste.

Larsen Classic Taste Wieners are now available at participating retailers throughout Atlantic Canada.

The Larsen brand specializes in pork products including wieners, bacon and ham.  The products are distributed exclusively for Atlantic Canada. Visit Larsen’s facebook page to join the conversation about the new Classic Taste Wieners: www.facebook.com/LarsenFoods
