A&A Organic Farms of Watsonville California is celebrating its 10th anniversary by branching out into organic marinades with their recent launch of Wet Rubz Organic Santa Maria Style Marinade. It is currently available for consumers to purchase at select stores in the Santa Cruz and Los Angeles areas of California and online.
Wet Rubz brand Organic Santa Maria Style Marinade is a unique twist on the traditional dry rub made famous by the ranchers in Santa Maria CA. This new sauce was created to provide an organic, GMO-free alternative for consumers who enjoy natural meats and organic veggies but cannot find the right marinade to compliment them.
Santa Maria Style means lots of garlic, onions, pepper, herbs and olive oil; something to really wake up your senses! This marinade knows no boundaries and while it is generally associated with the tri-tip steak it is equally delicious on vegetables. It can be used on oven-roasted eggplant, grilled summer squash, portabella mushrooms and roasted fingerling potatoes as well as more traditional uses such as beef, chicken, pork and shrimp.
“I created this marinade for my family a number of years ago” said A&A Organic Farms president and Wet Rubz creator, Andy Martin. “After working in the organic produce business for the last 18 years I wanted to branch out to a non-perishable organic product to compliment all the vegetables we sell everyday”. Martin worked in the restaurant business before entering the organic produce world in 1994, “My parents were from Gilroy, CA and I grew up around farm fresh meats and produce. We canned and cooked just about everything. Grilling was a way to bring the family and friends together to celebrate life”. “The creation of this marinade is a direct result of my years of being around people who enjoyed good food and knew how to prepare delicious meals”.
