Agrocode Launches New Product Aimed At Boosting Vegetable Production

Almeria, Spain–Agrocode has announced the launch of Nitrocode AZ+, an innovative bacterial inoculant based on Azospirillum technology that has been designed to boost growth of all types of vegetables, helping producers get the most out of their crops, whatever the ground conditions may be. In fact, the product, which works by increasing the production of natural hormones in plants, can boost production by between 13% and 32% depending on crop and cultivation conditions.

Once applied to plants, Nitrocode AZ+ stimulates growth by taking atmospheric nitrogen (N2) and converting it into biological nitrogen (NH4+), while also stimulating plants to synthesize natural phytohormones; all of which help contribute towards plant and root growth.

The launch of Nitrocode AZ+ coincides with the debut of Agrocode’s new, dedicated web presence (agrocode.com), which features detailed information on all of the products offered by the company, together with help for growers and technological resources.

Promoting Growth
An innovative, patented microbiological solution designed for use with all types of crops, Nitrocode AZ+ is composed of two potent elements: AZ is a liquid inoculant that contains a very high concentration of natural bacteria (Azospirillum ssp) that promotes plant growth. The bacteria works by colonizing plant roots and the rhizosphere (the area of soil surrounding plant roots), encouraging the production of natural plant hormones throughout the growth cycle.

The molecular enhancer ‘+’ – an important scientific development, as it makes use of all of the biological metabolic molecules released during the bacterial growth process.

Following application, the solution combines transformation of atmospheric nitrogen (N2) to biological nitrogen (NH4+) with the production of natural phytohormones.

At the same time, the solution can also help growers achieve a reduction of up to 30% in the use of chemical nitrogen fertilizer.

Scientific Advances
Over the last 25 years, scientific advances have enabled a better understanding of the use of biological fertilizers, which are helping bring about a green revolution by substituting or complementing chemical fertilizers with beneficial bacterials and fungi.

The innovative Nitrocode AZ+ formula has been developed jointly by the University of Seville and the Brazilian Corporation for Agricultural Research (EMBRAPA), alongside Agrocode’s own department of research and development.
