Salinas, CA – Rod Braga, president and CEO of Braga Ranch and Braga Fresh Family Farms of Soledad announced that Jayme Fields has been named CFO for the Braga family of companies.
Braga said, “Our finance team has done a great job of positioning the organization for expansion, which we started last year. We brought Jayme on board to build upon our strong foundation and apply her substantial financial expertise, leadership and knowledge to improve and streamline our operations for continued growth.”
Fields comes to Braga from 1st Capital Bank where she served as CFO, as well as being a founding member of that institution. Prior to that, she was CFO at Bank of Salinas (later renamed Community Bank and then sold to Rabobank). She is experienced in auditing and accounting, having begun her career working in Deloitte & Touche's Salinas office. Fields is a graduate of Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a degree in computer science and concentration in accounting.
Fields joined the Braga team in January and says, “I am impressed by the great group of people with a long standing name for quality. I am excited about the growth potential of the companies as they build an expert team and as the market recognizes the value of their products.”
Fields currently serves as treasurer of the Bay View Academy School board of directors and is a representative on the City of Monterey neighborhood improvement committee. She is a past finance chair for United Way and a graduate of Leadership Salinas Valley.
