Watsonville, CA – California Giant Berry Farms is pleased to add Serjio Sanchez to their sales team as an analyst. Serjio has been in the produce industry for most of his adult life and spent nineteen years at Watsonville Coast Produce before joining California Giant.
The newly created position of sales analyst provides the existing sales team with general sales support as well as a specific focus on tracking promotional commitments, key account goals, and communicating volume forecasting with field personnel. Sanchez brings a strong skill set with him and began work with the company on Monday, September 24. “We have all considered Serjio a friend for years in the industry and now we are all really pleased to have him as part of our team here at California Giant”, says Anthony Gallino, VP of Sales.
As the company’s product line continues to increase along with more growing regions, the specific focus of tracking promotions, shifts in volume and emerging regional trends, will add significant value to the team as they communicate with key customers about opportunities.
In addition to the produce experience Sanchez brings to California Giant, as an athlete he is perfectly suited to work for a company focused on health and fitness. Serjio spent time with the Florida Marlins minor league team as a short stop and continues to maintain a healthy lifestyle so staff expects to see him enjoying the opportunity to use the on-site fitness center.
Serjio lives in Watsonville with his wife Renee and two daughters, Abby and Holly.
